I’ve been watching the seasonal pullback in stocks taking shape this month… And as I explained yesterday, there are three factors are lining up right now that could spell big trouble for stocks and bonds as we approach the fall.
But crypto? That’s a completely different story…
President Trump’s recent executive order opened the floodgate for U.S. retirement plans to hold Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) in 401(k)s—and the money’s already flowing. In fact, crypto funds pulled in an estimated $572 million in the past week alone!
This isn’t day-trading money… It’s not playing-around money from meme traders… It’s long-term capital from one of the biggest, most stable investment pools in the world. With trillions in U.S. retirement accounts, even a sliver of allocation can create constant buying pressure.
And we’re already seeing it in the charts.
BTC climbed to around $121,500 over the weekend, putting it within reach of its July all-time high. ETH, not one to sit on the sidelines, pushed past $4,300… a level we haven’t seen since late 2021.
These aren’t just numbers on a screen – they’re breakout levels that tend to pull in momentum traders and bigger institutional players. And when the king and prince of crypto are making history together, it’s a sign that the rest of the space is about to make a run for it, too.
But it doesn’t stop there…
Altcoin futures continue to rise, now back near $44.2 billion, with Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Binance Coin (BN) all pushing higher on strong volume. This is rotation with purpose, not random bets.
Case in point: Tephra Digital, one of the most respected crypto-focused hedge funds in the U.S., just posted a 9% return in July, pushing their year-to-date gains to nearly 23%. Tephra’s known for its big data, on-chain analytics, and algorithmic models. And if they’re now riding the wave (one we saw from miles away), it’s because they think the big moves are still to come.
So tomorrow, I’ll be back to break down just how far I believe we could go from here – and exactly how to profit.
Until then,
